To anyone out there wanting to try this make up. Just wanted to say I am using one of the sample kits. So far I love it. So for anyone curious about mineral make up just try it. There are other mineral makes ups out there that are probably great also, but the service I have rec'd has been awesome. Debbie has been very patient answering questions for me and getting back to me very, very fast. I have done all of my business with her via email, but I feel like I am receiving small town service...She is wonderful to deal with and so are the products.

Hello, I am interested in learning more about your mineral makeup line and what is involved in using your color blends. Thanks, Phoebe Hi Phoebe, when formulating mineral makeup, you first start with your pigment color blend - I offer 7 different color blends on my website. Then, to complete the "recipe", you must then add your base blend all white powders, such as titanium dioxide, zinc, silica, and other additives to enhance the texture and quality of your finished product, etc. For example: If you want to make a yellow undertone or "honey" beige foundation, you would start with the honey pigment blend and add your base blend ingredients: For pure matte honey beige: Mix together: 1-1/2 tsp titanium dioxide 1-1/2 tsp lo-micron zinc oxide and add 1/2-3/4 tsp honey blend this is your pigment color blend as shown on website. You would then add additives such as silica, methicone, magnesium stearate, etc. to enhance the quality of your product. There is a cheat sheet on the website under recipes that tells what each one does as an additive. The more honey blend you add to the white powder base, the darker the shade. This holds true with all color blends. Therefore, using a color blend you can make for instance light, medium and dark honey foundation, etc. I offer the color blends so that you don't have to make them. They are comprised of yellow oxide, brown oxide, red oxide, sometimes ultramarine blue, chromium green oxide, and even black oxide for the darker blends. I am also going to be listing a preblended base blend hopefully today. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask! Debbie

Q: Is this glitter what was used in the fairy dust collection that I just purchased and LOVE! or is this different? Also, about how many grams are in a half ounce? Just trying to get a frame of reference. I LOVE your products and have several bookmarked for later. Have a wonderful week. I wish everyone that loves mineral makeup could connect with you and see what a wonderful product/value you offer.

I had found Deb's site early in the summer and had questions. I was so impressed with her willingness to help and answer me kindly and patiently. I have tried some of her products, I like them and now am a LBF consultant. If you are looking for a good business opportunity, take at look at LBF cosmetics!

I recently decided to try my hand at pressing some of my minerals. I read a post that suggested La Belle Femme Cosmetics to obtain supplies. I had not heard of this company before, but was very interested in trying to press, and they carry the necessary supplies. I ordered compacts, two metal presses, and a couple bottles of the spray binder that you need to get the minerals to adhere. I just wanted to share a bit of info with you gals, in case you haven't looked at the La Belle Femme site before. First, let me say, that Debbie, the owner, was extremely prompt and helpful, when I contacted her via email with some questions. She was most gracious in answering my questions. She also helped me with some tips on how to press the minerals, as my first attempts were, uh, not the best! There are instructions on the site, as well as some other recipes you might find fun to try. Pressing is rather easy, once you get the hang of it. My problem was using too much of the binder, as well as mashing the heck out of the minerals with a mortar and pestle. A popsicle stick or small spatula actually works quite well, although I specifically bought a mortar and pestle after reading that it was good for doing this. Save your money and skip the mortar and pestle. You might need to make a couple practice runs to get perfection, but it's relatively easy and kind of fun. I bought the large compacts for foundations, but haven't done those yet. Initially, I ordered some small hinged compacts from the site, but discovered that they were not the correct size to work with the mini press offered for sale there. Debbie let me know that the round blush/shadow 4-well compacts work great with the small press and she's right. I actually like the 4-well compacts much better, as I can customize some nice quads of colors to go together. La Belle Femme is also a reseller of some Monave and Lumiere products. I was able to add some Monave Claire to my last order, which was nice. If you need anything or just have questions, I can assure you that Debbie will help you out and she's super nice to deal with. I highly recommend her and would order from her again.

I just received my samples and tried them on. All I can say is WOW! A little goes a long way and I will be ordering more. And the Veil! I never used it before and I'm hooked. Warmth is a must have! Thanks so much.

Cool new site. Will be ordering more pressed mineral foundation soon, if you still have it. The one I got is too light. Do the pressed powders differ in color a bit from the loose powder? the same color in the loose powder was fine, and i don't think i got any darker over the winter, unfortunately. : The concealer is really great. Please take my old email same, but at hotmail off your list and change it to gmail. Thanks, kim
